Cacao Nibs / Lychee / Rose Petals
Grown by Rafael Amaya at his farm La Virginia in Huila in South West Colombia. This lot is 100% Caturra and thrives in this equatorial lush mountainous region. The coffee is carefully handpicked so only the ripest cherries are chosen. The cherries are then placed in an aerobic environment for 24 hours, before being placed in Grainpro bags for 200 hours for further fermentation. This period of time was tested over a number of harvests to get the best results. Following this, the whole cherries were sun-dried on raised beds until ideal moisture is achieved.
What do we get: A highly complex and refreshingly zingy coffee. Tropical fruity notes of Lychee, layered with distinct rose petal floral notes.
