Blueberry / Vanilla / Tinend Peaches
This naturally-processed lot showcases the classic blueberry character that Ethiopian coffees are renowned for, complemented by juicy peach notes and subtle vanilla. As a natural, it brings a little bit more body, delivering a sweet and rounded cup that makes it incredibly easy to enjoy.
Producer
This lot comes from Daniso Horsa's farms in Ethiopia's Bensa district, where coffee is produced in partnership with around 300 neighbouring outgrowers. Only the ripest cherries are hand-picked - a process that requires meticulous attention to detail and frequent revisits to the trees as the fruit ripens.
Region
The Bensa district of Sidama is one of Ethiopia's most celebrated coffee-growing regions, known for its high elevations of up to 2,500 masl. These cool mountain conditions allow coffee cherries to develop slowly, producing dense beans with exceptional sweetness. Daniso is a producer in the Shantawene area of Bensa, where many people here belong to the Shantawene Kebena group and speak Sidaamu and Amharic. This lot also comes from the area of Bombe, where Daniso operates a second farm. Producers in Bombe reside in the elevated valley of Bombe mountain.
